Stress Reset System (SRS)

Master Your Stress

A Psycho-Physical Approach to Stress Management

Jenny Holbeck (managing stress), “I love the fresh and innovative approach that Stuart and Bronwyn have come up with to help me deal with my stress levels. I have tried meditation, mindfulness and exercise classes, however, these approaches did not grab me and I ended up quitting. This approach allowed me to analyse and address the effects that my stress levels were having on my body and was so easy to implement and commit to.”

Why the Stress Reset System (SRS)?

Stress is often viewed primarily as a psychological issue, yet it has both physical and psychological components, directly impacting the central nervous system (CNS) – which includes the brain and spinal cord. These structures play a crucial role in how we think, feel, and most importantly, how we respond and adapt to our environment.

Despite this, stress is not a diagnosed condition; rather, it is a normal, everyday occurrence that can be either positive or negative. Years ago, we developed and piloted an early intervention program for frontline workers exposed to critical incidents. One of the most striking findings was that when asked about their stressors, most participants described physical sensations rather than thoughts. Common responses included:

  • “I feel tired.”
  • “I feel exhausted.”
  • “I feel tight.”

Recognising the physical implications of stress, we addressed these sensations through specific movement patterns designed to restore balance and function. A key observation was that many participants had developed a restricted range of motion (ROM) in a relatively short period of time. This limitation made traditional exercise – such as lifting weights – counterproductive, as it often triggered negative responses rather than offering any form of relief.

The Science Behind SRS

Our approach is based on our internationally patented movement systems designed to re-establish neuromuscular function in individuals experiencing chronic movement restrictions. Rather than focusing on intense exercise, our system emphasises:

  • Small, coordinated movements performed in a controlled manner.
  • Sequential movement patterns that progressively restore normal function.
  • spine-first approach, where correct posture is developed from the ground up.

At the core of this system is the concept of upper-limb-controlled lower limb movement, ensuring correct spinal alignment which greatly facilitates neuromuscular coordination through the introduction of balanced movement patterns. This method has been refined over 25 years and consistently proves that posture and movement quality are key to developing stress resilience.

A Practical, Lifelong Solution

We have developed a cost-effective, portable, and time-efficient biofeedback system that provides a progressive movement plan adaptable for lifelong use. Stress management isn’t about the management of symptoms – it’s about developing sustainable habits. Our integrative movement system acts as the catalyst for positive habit formation, ensuring that managing stress becomes a natural, automatic part of life.

By addressing the physical fallout of stress, the Stress Reset System (SRS) offers a practical, movement-based approach to restoring balance, resilience, and long-term well-being.

“Resilience is not always about whether you can get back on your feet again …. more often than not, its whether you can get comfortable lying down – sleep matters” – Stuart Andrews

Hear what people have to say:

Dr. Samantha Graham

(A high performance mind coach) “In the high-pressure conditions of elite sport can mean athletes are constantly in “Fight or Flight” mode, their mind racing and body flooded with adrenalin and cortisol.  The Lower Limber is a brilliant system for monitoring athletes stress levels and reversing the physical contraction caused by these stress hormones, which if left unaddressed, limit the athlete’s ability to think clearly and perform at their best.”

Chris B.

“I have always had a problem acknowledging that I’m stressed. Now I have this wonderfully simple tool that allows me to address and deal with what so many of us choose to ignore at our peril”.

Matthew Carter (chronic physical discomfort)

“I heard about the SRS through a friend and went along to see for myself.  After all the treatment and medication I had been given for my pain I was sceptical….. after just an hour I was able to stretch and could actually move.”

Jeff H (sleeping issues)

“I use to turn my pillow over and over a 1000 times a night – I just couldn’t get comfortable and my mind was always racing.  The concept of preparing myself to go to sleep is now a part of my daily routine.  We all prepare ourselves to go to work, why not to sleep?   Relaxing my body with a simple SRS 5-minute routine before I go to bed definitely contributes to good feelings, better thoughts and a good night’s sleep.”

Rob C

“Thanks to the SRS I have regained my life….it has processes that the average person can understand and more importantly it connects how you feel with what you think ….. I love it”
